This is our youth-centered program, currently active in more than 100 institutions across Bengaluru. It creates democratic and safe spaces within colleges, enabling young people to engage, express themselves, and build confidence. These spaces ensure that young people are not silenced or pushed out by unsafe or unequal environments, but instead feel equipped to pursue their studies and grow as individuals. By embedding safety and inclusion into everyday student life, VOICE strengthens young marginalised people’s ability to thrive.

What VOICE enables:

  • Spaces of solidarity -to speak, listen, question, and act together
  • Democratic thinking -fostering leadership rooted in empathy, accountability, and participation
  • Student-led initiatives – small acts that resist inequality and create impact on campus
  • Support systems – where reflections are valued, and faculty are engaged as allies
  • A culture that reclaims the campus as a place of expression, safety and transformation

VOICE Manifesto:

  • A movement led by students and young leaders
  • Rooted in intersectional feminist, just and equitable values
  • Focused on learning by doing, thinking, and reflecting
  • Centering care, courage, and community
  • Challenging power, privilege, and (all forms of) patriarchy
