WHAT WE DO

She isn’t helpless. She’s just helped less. Durga is here to change that. Dignity is fundamental to life. Every woman should be able to draw her boundaries and trust her space.
The Durga family reaches out to the masses and makes your struggles our own.

NOW, ANYBODY CAN BE A DURGA

To all of us who want to be a Durga, here is an online module of just over 1 hour giving us all the gyan we would need to have to Take Control. This is so simple just like ABCD!

ONLINE MODULES

CREATING DURGAS - #BEADURGA

The core of Durga is ultimately the woman. We help discover the Durga in you through building the courage and competence required to battle potential situations on an everyday basis and let you put a handle on your own safety. The Durgas we create are the foremost policewomen in their lives and also a pillar of strength for those around them.

ACTIVE BYSTANDERS - #REALHERO

Durga believes that the lack of solidarity amongst the general public has been the root cause to the vast sphere of crime, especially towards women. At Durga, we work to translate the underlying attitude from ‘Should I?’ to ‘I should’ thus getting bystanders to actually stand by our cause.
Through our #RealHero initiative we are driving commitment and direction amongst people by recognizing responsible citizens who are keen to help a woman in distress. This is open to both men and women.

VOICE COMMUNITIES - #VOICE

A COMMUNITY THAT VOICES OUT ITS SOLIDARITY TOWARDS WOMEN!
Voice communities are created to dignify a woman’s personality through a sense of security. We forge a value enriching community that not only helps discover the Durga in a woman, but also converts passive onlookers into active bystanders. Inculcating respect and empathy in the community, Durga hopes to go a long way in forging a society that enhances the quality of life for women.
VOICE OUT AND BE THE VOICE OF YOUR COMMUNITY

2. Make Bystander Engagement Possible:
People dont stand up for someone ‘cos’:-
a) They dont know something is happening., b) They dont see they have a role, c) They dont know what to do, d) They are afraid of consequences, We are working to address this meticulously. #RealHero
3.Gender Study Mandatory:
We are asking to make gender study mandatory for all undergraads for at least 20 hours during the first year of study. This will help students understand perspective of the issue including:-
